Following in a tradition at least 80 years old, Christ Church has presented musicals such as "Solomon the Wise" and "Our Heritage" involving singers, dancers, actors and instrumentalists of all ages. New members of the musical organizations are always welcome. Meeting times are as follows:
Details Creative leadership for the musical program at Christ Church is provided by organist and choir director, Marvin Munshaw. At Christmas and Easter and throughout the church year, members of the Senior and Junior Choirs, ensembles, soloists, and instrumentalists contribute to the worship experience. A particular highlight of the Christmas season is the performance of the Hallelujah Chorus with participation of members of the congregation. The Bell Choir, now in its seventh year, continues to grow in the skills of bell ringing. The director, Irvin Rubincam, has provided a number of original arrangements for the 12 member choir. Members of the Celebration Choir, led by Jill Kelman are selected by audition and sing both in the church service and at a music festival at which they expand their repertoire to include folk and popular songs. |
