The Church Council manages the affairs of Christ Church on behalf of the congregation and function as the overall policy-making authority in the congregation. They develop, implement and monitor long term plans and goals for the congregation.
It is the responsibility of the Church Council to:
- Oversee the work of the committees of the congregation
- Plan for the long term health of Christ Church
- Establish task forces or Ad Hoc committees when required
- Oversee the financial management of Christ Church
- Call special meetings of the congregation when needed
- Approve employment of all church staff except the Ministry personnel

This committee is responsible for the interviewing and hiring of all church staff except Ministry personnel. They review working conditions, continuing education and remuneration for staff and oversee their relationship with the congregation.

The responsibility of this committee is to encourage full involvement of the congregation in celebrative worship which includes prayer, reading of scripture, declaration of faith, music and sacraments. Some of these duties include:
- maintaining the year’s calendar of worship
- recommending guidelines for weddings, baptisms and funerals
- arranging for ushers, elevator operator, sound operator, readers
- ensuring the printing of the service bulletins
- arranging for decoration of the sanctuary
- arranging for pulpit supply or special speakers

The purpose of Lay Representatives is to represent Halton Presbytery to Christ Church and vice versa. Members attend meetings of Halton Presbytery and ensure communications are delivered to appropriate Christ Church members.

The purpose of the Board of Trustees is to hold all real and personal property of Christ Church in trust and safekeeping for the congregation. Trustees are responsible for the archives, managing the trust funds of the church, overseeing the Special Gifts sub-committee and discussing memorial gifts with families. They inspect all church property annually and make recommendations for repairs.

This committee enables people to take a spiritual journey, growing in their knowledge and love of God through learning and the expression of Christian values. They staff and operate the church school and nursery, develop programs in Bible study, oversee the Confirmation Class, and oversee the operation of the Earl Eddy Memorial Library.

This committee encourages the congregation to serve God in the world, working for social justice by actively listening to and sharing resources with others. They promote our financial commitment to the Mission and Service fund and support of the local community.

W&F encourages all members to share the joy of fellowship of the church. The committee plans intergenerational social events throughout the year. They try to identify innovative ways to welcome visitors at worship. They also arrange for greeters before each worship service.

This committee encourages members and adherents to contribute financially to the church. They develop and recommend the annual stewardship plan and oversee all fundraising activities.

Mutual Support develops and supports a pastoral care program of visiting members ensuring special attention is paid to those who are hospitalized, shut-in or new to the congregation. They maintain the church roll of members, and assist with immediate situations like illness or a new baby.

This committee coordinates and promotes all communications through the church and its members including a periodic newsletter and annual report. They maintain an interactive website and help produce promotional material as requested.

The Property committee is responsible for the care and maintenance of all church property. They will ensure all equipment, furniture and fixtures are kept in good repair. They manage the Church janitorial service and handle all repairs. They determine fees and allocate rooms for rent to local groups.

The Finance committee oversees the financial management of Christ Church. They review and approve monthly financial statements and reconciliation of expenses. They ensure all invoices are paid, count weekly offerings, and issue tax receipts. The committee also prepares the annual budget with input from all committees.

This organization unites the women of the congregation and provides a structure to allow them to experience study, fellowship and service. They encourage growth in Christian understanding, faith and experience through worship, bible study and involvement in other activities.
