The Parables of Jesus

We remember Jesus for his parables -- stories told to convey a deeper meaning, and for his aphorisms -- short and to-the-point sayings. This window illustrates Jesus at work, teaching his followers, and five of his best known and best loved parables.

These parables have a contemporary message. It seems that Jesus is saying something to those who have been faithful over the years -- everyone who comes into the "kingdom" is equally precious and valuable to God.
